Hi my name is Beatriz, and I want to be a vegetarian. I eat very little meat as of currently. However, I would like to eliminate all meat. I still plan on eating dairy and eggs. I was wondering if anyone knew how you can tell if remnant is on cheese, Is it just the hard rind part? Also, if anyone knows any good beer or wine choices that do not have any animal products in them? Also, any tips would be appreciated especially on supplements or ingredients with zinc and b12.

Thanks!

Rennet is used to start the culture in the milk to turn it to cheese. The rind part is just the cheese on the outside that it drier than the interior...

You'll have to figure out which cheeses have rennet and which cheeses don't. You can check out this article: http://cheese.about.com/od/howcheeseismade/a/rennet.htm

Good luck on making this transition.
