Anyone have any good recommendations for a non-toxic, or natural perfume? Something not too pricey, and not too 'perfumey' if that makes sense. Maybe there's a company that uses essential oils? That would be ideal. Not having much luck searching the web. Thanks guys! :)

why don't you use oils then? You can rub them on your wrists and neck or directly onto your fave scarf. I love The Tree of Life oils:

Ecco Bella makes some - their Bourbon Vanilla and Ambrosia scents are very nice. I also second the idea of just using essential oils!

You can go online and find recipes for different oils and create your own scents. You can purchase spray bottles to put them in too. I love the idea of having my own natural scent:)

Essential oils should always be dilluted before applying to the skin (especially on a regular basis). I make bath and beauty products from scratch and have spent some serious time studying the subject, so the information on the use of essential oils has come up MANY times. It also pops up a lot when I am buying the stuff and reading up on the product, lol. Plus, using only essential oils will wear off very easily if it does not have some types of fixative to hold it to your skin.

You can actually add essential oils to 90 proof grain alcohol (the kind you can get from the liquor store, lol). Sounds harsh, but its natural and the most natural you are going to get with a perfume that has fixative power (from what I have researched so far, I am always on the look out for new ideas on that though). Your essential oil usage for a perfume should be about 20-30%. Alcohol should be 70-80%. (If you plan to make it more like a cologne or body spray by adding water, you will need to use a full spectrum cosmetic preservative to prevent bacteria growth that is not always seen with the eyes.) Another option is to add it to jojoba oil and apply it to areas like the wrist or neck (because it is an oil that will stain clothes), but I have found that it wears off the skin in an hour's time. Also, if you make it with grain alcohol, you would not be able to sell it because it would count as selling alcohol without a license. The recipe is for personal use only. Anyways, hope that information helps. Be blessed!

I've been testing many perfumes looking for a great one and so far, my favorite is EO Amma's Rose. It's rose and sandalwood - feminine and lovely as well as essential-oil based. I've written reviews of several perfumes I've tried, so if you're interested, you can browse a few brands here.

Try Lush's gorilla purfumes www.lush.com. I am really loving "Dirty" at the moment, it has a very minty smell- very fresh . Most of their purfumes are vegan too.
