Lead In Handbags

I was shopping the other day and saw a sign in the store that said "warning - non leather handbags contain lead." It then went on to do the warning about Cancer, etc. I was alarmed! I had no idea that there was lead in handbags. Can you suggest a lead free, vegan, handbag designer. Hemp is beautiful but I would be interested in hearing about designers that use other materials.

Hmmm - Are you chewing or eating your handbag? Not sure how much it really affects you to have a little lead in your handbag, I guess....???

Starflower - I'm assuming that was an attempt to funny. I was looking for an honest, helpful answer. And actually if you do the research the lead is dangerous for women that are looking to get pregnant. It is also unsafe for the developing fetus.


With that being said I am still open to hearing about lead free designers...if anyone knows of a great vegan brand.
