First let me start by saying, I have The Kind Diet and reference it often but i have not noticed any information for what i'm about to ask. I know there are many different types of grains listed in the book but i'm still new to this and trying to keep w/in a tight budget so i'd prefer to just keep 3 jars of different grains for now. But how should the alternating work? The only grains i truly enjoy eating are short grain brown rice and quinoa. Is it bad to just consistently eat those for lunch/dinner? Should i have more variety? And if so, HOW MUCH variety? A 7 day meal plan example would be great. I know there is a meal plan in the book but i dont go to restaurants and i dont really do recipes. I'm a simple eater. (Grains, veggies, protein source)

Hey Crystal,

I think it's totally fine to eat brown rice all the time. What I like to do sometimes is mix the brown rice with another whole grain like black forbidden rice or red rice. I think pretty much all the whole grains have the same value in terms of nutrition but I think black forbidden rice has added value, as well as quinoa. However I think I would save quinoa for lunch time cuz it's more of a lighter grain. But I can honestly say that being macrobiotic I eat brown rice every meal and feel great :)
