White sugar is especially bad for the body, but I feel addicted to sugar in general, 8[ I want to cut it out of my diet with long term effects so I'm not sure how to go about that. Any options or ideas to help?? pWeeze and tankkZyouu!

go cold turkey and eat sweet juicy fruit every time you have cravings. Also, search this forum for sugar addiction. There are tons of people in your shoessmiley-laughing.gif

I'll tell you-there's nothing like a Daniel Fast *** to get you off of SUGAR right away. It's calmed the inner noise within me dramatically that comes from sugar and other man-made preservative laced foods we often ingest.

***Our church is participating in a 21 day Prayer and Fasting event that over 3000 church's are involved in. Daniel Fast's are no sugar, wine, coffee, sodas, meats: only pure water, fruits, veg's, legumes, and whole grains.See on line for more details about it, or read up on this in your Bible.

God's best to you always!

Cutting out bad sugars is good for you, but cutting out all sugars is impossible. For example, you will find good sugars in things like fruit, yogurt, whole grain cereals, etc

Everything eventually turns to sugar i.e glucose in the body anyway so it is unavoidable and low carb diets come with there health problems. The best idea is to replace white refined carbs with natural fruit sugars which come with fiber and accompanying nutrients. This doesn't mean you have to consume an excessive intake either though, too much sugar / excessive carbohydate consumption will result in weight gain if overall caloric intake is in the excess.

Sweet and midly spicy tasting herbal teas i found to be helpful when overcoming sugar addiction which was largely caused by severe adrenal fatigue and in turn blood sugar issues.
