Sunshine State Global Seed Exchange (SSGSE) is a self-funded, member based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

________________________________________________________________________________________ As seed savers our goal is to help you learn how to save and exchange local seeds and use a wider range of vegetable and fruit seeds in your garden to improve your families nutrition. Seed prices have gone up in recent years, simultaneously the number of seeds in a store bought seed packet has fallen--often there are as few as 25 seeds in a packet of commercial seeds. Do we take seeds for granted? Too often we all discard these fruit, vegetable, and flower seeds relying to much on our grocery stores. We certainly support our local farmers but let's step it up by taking it further in our culture and start giving what has always been meant to be shared with others as our ancestors did. This site is designed to educate and excite people to plant, save, and ultimately share their seeds with others across the globe or even as close as in your own town.
