I will be buying a small (8'x30") above the ground pool in the next week (it's warm in my part of the US) and would like suggestions for safe ways to treat the water. My dog is having ACL surgery soon and her surgeon says swimming is the best therapy. I'm absolutely clueless when it comes to pools or their maintance nor do I have time for extensive research on the subject since we are on a deadline with the surgery date. I was hoping some of you could suggest eco friendly ways to treat an above the ground, inflatable pool (or point me in the right direction.

Thank you.

Baking soda? I don't know much about pools though. I noticed that on the large bags of Arm and Hammer baking soda it says it can be used for pools. Try looking at A&H's site.

I don't know too much about this subject, but I have heard that using salt water has become popular instead of chemicals.
