My name is Sydney and I've recently become a vegetarian but REALLY want to become a Vegan although I'm scared to. I'm working on it though! I really love being a vegetarian and I've had more energy lately than I ever had. I picked up the Kind Life book at the library and am reading it. It's so inspiring right now!
Hi Syndey,
Congratulations on making the switch! Don't be afraid, I know it can be confusing int he beginning and at times it looks like it's tooo restricting but after a while you see that it's none of those things. You'll find a lot of suppor here and I hope you enjoy your journey so far :D

Hi Sydney,
I was afraid at first too thinking that it was going t be restricting and I wouldn't be able to eat anything and all of that but now I just feel better than ever and if anything this diet has opened up my world of food not limited it. Good luck and best wishes:)

Being vegan is fun, which I need to be because it's better for my overall happiness and health. I'm gluten free also so for me that means a lot of soy, nuts, seeds and combining vegetables for protein.
My mother and I are lactose intollerant so for our morning coffee we use ENRICHED soy or almond milks. I do prefer organic. Soy milks do have more protein which is better to drink b/c it provides your body with the proper proteins.
Do you have any vegan pointers?

Hi, I'm Kimi from Canada. I've been vegetarian for about a year now. I really want to become vegan but there's a lack of support from friends and family (they can tolerate me being vegetarian but they believe vegans to be unhealthy no matter what I say...) I'm hoping by the end of next year to be vegan. I had some trouble with adjusting to a vegetarian diet which is why I want to give myself more time. Anyone has some suggestions to make the transition easier? I would really appreciate it :)
Thank you!!
-Kimi
