Hello all. I live in Vancouver and am trying so hard to be a superhero (marcobiotics). I bought some books, including TKD, but am needing some extra suppport. Does anyone know of Marcobotics cooking classes or Macrobiotic counselors in the area? Or any additional good books / web-sites that are good for resources? Thanks so much everyone!

Hi Patricia,

Good for you! I think that it's great that you are so interested in macrobiotics. However, in order to get the most benefit out of your macrobiotic practice, it is best to see a macrobiotic counselor and to take some cooking classes. Books are good to further complement personal macrobiotic education.

I do know a good contact in the Seattle area. Please message me for her contact information. I also offer macrobiotic counseling via Skype. You can find out more about that on my website. I also run a school, the Strengthening Health Institute, that offers various macrobiotic educational programs.

Best of luck with your macrobiotic journey,

Denny Waxman

Hi Patricia :)

Have you had any luck?? I'd love to get together sometime if you're still interested in Macrobiotics. I've done a lot of studying & know many ppl in the macro community and am always looking for new like minded friends like yourself! I live in Langley :) Am actually opening up a vegan food truck in the community but am aiming towards more macro! Hope to hear from you soon <3

I also live in the Vancouver area. I have been Vegan since April 22nd and am now interested in adding macro to that because I'm always so fatigued. Not due to Veganism, it's a mid-life thing I think, which I'm sure I can change through my diet. Would in interested in meeting up with you Jen Hiltz and Guji Patel, and you too Patricia and sharing ideas.
