Gardein

I recently saw a product called Gardein I picked up a package of the orange chicken. I have not tried it yet, and I was wondering if anyone has tried it or any thoughts on the product?

I'm not a huge fan of the Gardein products that come with their own sauce. But the Gardein Scallopine is good occasionally grilled and then put in a big sandwich, or cut up inside a quesadilla. It packs a good hit of protein, and has a meat-like texture. However, it is highly processed, so I would recommend it as a treat, not a daily indulgence. Enjoy!

I also am not a fan of the meals (I find the sauces too sweet for my liking) but we use the beef tips and the scallopini in many different recipes. I found a goulash recipe using the beef tips that my whole family absolutely loves (from czechveganinamerica(?) blog) and a recipe for "chicken" tikka masala using their scallopini that is perhaps my husband's favorite "fake meat" meal. We don't use them often but when we do, we like Gardein products more than any other product (though I have recently discovered Field Roast sausages...)
