My 11 year old son was recently diagnosed with asthma. He gets a cold brought on by indoor winter allergies and it goes into asthma. This is what the pediatric pulmonologist told us. She said to use the inhaler once daily in the winter as maintenance to prevent it. I really do not want him to be on a steriod every day. I have been vegan for two years but he is still only vegetarian, no meats of any kind but dairy. He is a very very picky eater, does not like veggies, only white rice ect. Being a huge meat eater two years ago I am proud of him for trying. Anyway.... I have read that going the last step and cutting out the dairly helps with asthma. Does anyone have any ideas of what to feed him if I do cut out the dairy and will it really get help with this new problem? The doctor said "dairy has nothing to do with it and not to beleive everything you read". I dont beleive that at all! Thanks Linda
