Okay,first let me say that I really love Alicia. However, last night I was out with a group of friends who started talking about the way Alicia feeds her son. It was so vile, I thought for sure, they must have been mistaken. But lo and behold, today on the news, are enough, they show a video of Alicia "feeding" her son. Did anyone else see this? And if so, what are your thoughts?
I'd so hate to be famous and have people comment and judge everything I do. I don't feed my baby like that, but when she was first eating food, I'd chew a little an dput on the spoon. It's didn't seem gross to me. I think its sweet
Personally, I was really repulsed by it. But that's me. I'm sure there were people who didn't like the way I did things with my kids. I was actually told by using cloth diapers and breastfeeding my babies I was actually taking women back in time. We all do what we think is best for our kids-vegan diets, breastfeeding, cloth diapering, baby-wearing, etc. Alicia is an intelligent, well-informed woman, what I see as gross could be a sweet bonding moment between the two of them. If she wants to feed her baby that way, I'm certainly not going to criticize-but I'm also not going to watch the video
Every mom does what she thinks is best for her baby. I give her props for not being afraid to do it her way and not caring what other people think.
She is disgusting! As mothers we have all tasted or given our babies food out of our mouths, but the way she is doing it is ridiculous! This little boy looks to be at least 18 months old so he should have enough teeth in his mouth to chew his own food! Why can't she put the food in one of those baby food makers you see on the infomercials, or a blender? She is getting some sick kind of thrill out of spitting in this baby's mouth! He should be in his highchair feeding himself. I pray that her husband is a upstanding gentleman, if she kisses him and feeds Jr after she's going to pass that mess onto her him. Herpes, HEP, flu you name it. She is nasty, and disgusting!
FYI the child was just born in May, so he isnt 18 months old........he isnt even 12 months old...........must be his healthy vegan meals that make him so strong. Live your life and let her live her's.

I just never saw anything like that being done before. I thought it was unusual. But, to each his/her own!
Very sweet I think... Surprising to see at first only because I never saw someone do that before. But she certainly seems to know what she is doing and is a very devoted mom:)
As a physician and mother of two I was frightened for her child.....Not only is this practice unsanitary and unsafe....it is completely embarrassing for the child....
Alicia if you do not wish for your child to chew and work on his/her muscles or other motor skills involved.....BUY a blender......Honestly....
