Storing cooked rice

I thought that cooked rice could not be stored as it grows spores that keep growing even if you put the rice in the fridge.

I keep reading people talking about using up leftovers from the day before and I would love to do this, especially as it takes 30 minutes to cook brown rice so doing more than 1 meal at a time would be energy and time efficient.

Anyone have any thoughts on this or do I just try it and wait and see if I get sick? Don't fancy that much though...

Thanks so much for any help or advice you can offer.

I have never had any problems storing rice. Additionally, I a fair amount of food service industry experience and have never had any problems professionally with storing rice either.

Thanks for that. I also did a google search and the main advice seems to be cook it fresh every time if you can, and if not, storing for up to a day should be ok.

Guess I'll just see how I go.
