Hi Caroline, congratulations on making the switch. You are doing yourself and your body a great justice by making the decision to go vegan! As you begin paying more attention to what you put in your body, the benefits will speak for themselves. You have much to look forward to! (:
Having been vegetarian, then vegan, then vegetarian, and back again, I can tell you that eliminating dairy (specifically cheese) was the hardest, yet most beneficial part about going vegan for me. When I would go a week without eating cheese and then eat it again, I would feel clogged up and sick the next day. My best advice as far as that goes is if you DO have a slip-up, which most all of us do!!... is to really pay attention to how it makes you feel directly after; even the next day. That should give you some good motivation to continue on your vegan path.
If you get stuck and have specific questions as far as cravings, what to eat, when to eat, etc., The Kind Life has a great community of supporters that are here to answer any of your questions. If you'd like to see other posts and answers from other people who have made the transition, I would recommend using google and entering "the kind life" "new vegan" into the search field (the quotes are important as they ensure that those exact phrases will be on the page results). I just did that and here are the results that came up here.
So I hope that helps, come back with more specific questions anytime! And make sure to use google or check out the forums to see if others have already asked similar questions (;
Good luck and happy eating!
