I want to go from vegetarian to vegan BUT I am terrified of losing weight (I am 5'6 100lbs). I feel like I am already too thin and I would like to gain a substantial amount of weight. Is there a way to do this while still living a vegan lifestyle? (=

There are so many vegan foods that will help you stay or gain weight. When I first went vegan I went superhero so I lost a lot of weight, but when I added the vegan processed foods and vegan foods that were sugary I gained some weight back. If you stick with these foods you should not lose weight. Now obviously eat healthy to maintain a healthy lifestyle but these foods will help you stay the same. Hope it helps!

Do you have the option of consulting with a nutritionist or dietitian who is veg-friendly to have them look at your food intake and make suggestions? Also, have you had bloodwork done lately? Sometimes an inability to gain weight can be due to overactive thyroid.

All the best to you.

Thanks for the suggestions! Yes I have had bloodwork done. Everything is healthy (= I just have a really hard time keeping weight on. I have a 2 year old and an 8 month old and with both of those pregnancies I only gained 10 pounds total! I had healthy babies though, about 7lbs each! We are trying for baby number three and I am nervous about going vegan because of the weight factor, but I know it would feel incredible to cut out the dairy. I have been trying to eat vegan for almost 2 weeks now and I have lost 2 pounds already )= I will admit that I do get full easily, simply because the meals are so nourishing and I feel satisfied after eating them. I was wondering if they have any type of high caloric vegan shake? I don't really want to go that route because I would prefer to get it from food, but if it can at least help me pack on some pounds. Thank you again for all your suggestions! I am really eager to go vegan (=

Losing weight is not an easy task. It needs a lot of hard work and dedication.
