I noticed the discussion earlier, about poop, however this is a slightly different topic.
I've been vegan for almost a year now, and I haven't really had many issues other than tooting! It's gone through stages where it was full blown pregnant-belly gas, to slight discomfort. I've generally cut some of the trigger veggies out of my diet (I adored cauliflower, hated the result of eating it), however recently I've been having a problem.
I would be ok with it if it was simply a toot, something small quiet and not to smelly. Recently though I've been having longer, more frequent, horrific smelling toots. I mean horrible.
Does anyone have any advice on this issue, or any remedies they know of? I'm already a big tea drinker: I know green, peppermint, ribos, chamomile and ginger all have benefits for the tummy. I don't even mind tooting, I'm just worried about the smell!
I am with you. I started vegan again about 4 weeks ago - the toots are out of control - and I have painful bloating. I'm not sure what to do - I'm interested to see what people post here - thanks for bringing it up!
I don't consume any refined sugars, however fruit (dried and fresh) are a big part of my diet. Sometimes I eat up to 8 servings of fruit a day.
I'm completely gluten free so I know thats not it either.
As an update: I'm still tooting, however the smell has gone away. My mother thinks this could be that it was that time of the month, but Aunt Flo was a no-show (I'm not pregnant either).
