Is white rice THAT bad?

Newly vegan and I see rice as a big part of my future diet. I really do not like brown rice... Is white rice THAT bad instead?

Haha, no white rice is not that bad. Brown rice has a little more protien and and can be more filling, but if you want to eat white rice along with tofu or beans and lots of vegetables then its fine and I think its good for you. One thing you can do though to get used to it is mix brown and white rice in whatever proportion you like until you get used to it. I used to not like brown rice and now I almost prefer it for its sweet nuttiness. Also you can experiment with different kinds like short grain or long and adding more liquid and cooking for longer to make it mushier. If you really don't like it and you're eating a healthy diet then I think that white rice is perfectly fine as a side dish. You can look at this for comparison:
