Hello everyone.

Im new to being vegan. Aside form all the earth friendly advantages I also read about the great health advantages.

First off I'm 24 and nearly 100lbs overweight, due to years of stuggling with a thyroid disease (which I now have under control) and bad bad diet choices

I;ve tried every diet and diet pill known to man and nothing gives permanent results or noticeable results. I managed to lose 15lbs once when my doctors gave me phetermine but gained it all back within a matter of months when they took me off.

but I don't want another pill to take for the rest of my life. I dont want to count calories forever. and I certainly dont want to kill my back with hoirs of workouts. (I have degeneratice disk disease and a sway back, several excersises are extremly painful and leave me bedridden for weeks after)

I really need some help and advice. what food should I be eating? what to avoid?

I live in the deep south and the only grocery store available to me is a walmart supercenter.

I really want to succeed in this lifestlye. I want to lose the weight and I want to be vegan. I really look forward to hearing from you all especially those that have lost weight doing this.
