Hello All,
I read the bra recycling blog post and I wanted to let you know about a great group of women that I work with. We make quilts for those that are less fortunate.
We use old bras, among many other items in the making of the quilts. We cut the bras into pieces that we can use to fashion handles for the quilts that also keep them rolled up when not being used.
Since we cut them up the condition of the bras does not matter at all. They can be worn out, stretched out, broken straps/wires, etc... We also are able to use any bra regardless of size, style, color etc..
We are often short of bras to use on the quilts, so we can really use any we can get!
I just wanted to let you know that there was an alternative to throwing them in the trash and having them end up in a landfill.
If you would like more information you can write to us at Quilts4Homeless@yahoo.com.
I hope that you had a great weekend!

God Bless,
jennifer
