How to shop on a budget

Does anybody have any ideas on how I can shop for a kind diet on a budget? I've been a vegetarian for 12yrs now, a former meat eater and just recently started trying to be a kind eater. Would love to be able to buy the book, but for right now just trying to buy kind foods. Any help would be great. Thanks!
