After a visit to my doctor I found out that I have an infected cerix, also known as cervicitis. With no history of any STIs the doctor thinks it may be due to hormone levels and that might be caused by taking birth control. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about a connection between birth control causing too much estrogen/progesterone and getting an infected cervix? I know dairy has a lot of hormones in it and I'm wondering if going completely vegan might help?

I am currently using the Nuva Ring and I'm also wondering if that might be causing the problem and if I switched to a pill if that would help?
