seaweed salad

First off, does anyone know if the seaweed salad you get in Japanese restaraunts is vegan? Second, how would you make this at home? It's not Wakame, which is what i keep finding when I look online. I bought the mix at the whole foods equivalent here, but it's not quite it either. I want the same exact thing! lol, long strands, bright green etc. Does anyone know??
