Oh boy can I relate to this! I gained 80 lbs during my pregnancy from bad diet and a lot of emotional eating. I am still working on taking the weight off. All the best advice has already been given, but also, set a goal. For example, by Jan 1, I want to weigh x. I need to lose 2 lbs a week to meet my goal. And stick to it! Make every day count. Good luck to you and me both! ;)

Also, a food/exercise journal can be really helpful!

Be patient and loving to your body and yourself. The shame is that the West is correlated with the conception that your total identity,or at least a significatn portion of it,is you are how how look/how much you weigh.Breathe deep.I put on over 30 pounds in less than a month and it's taken me at least four months to lose it.Every day,put your hands on your body, say I LOVE YOU,thank your body and mean it.Your body will respond.Don't bring negativity and frustration and hatred on your body. It's so unhealthy, this self hatred, this comparison between bodies in this society.LOVE!
