Hi! I am from Quebec, now living in Vancouver. Where are you? How long have you been a vegan?

Hello V for vegan!

I'm in Ontario- Peterborough. I've only been doing this for a few weeks and unless you are prepaired for the proper groceries, it's a challange!! The toughest part has been giving up cheese and milk.

How long have you been doing this lifestyle?

I chose it after wanting to become more healthy to give up meat- then I saw Earthings and that movie had such a profound effect on me that I just can't be a part of any cruelty towards animals. I keep forgetting like I took a bite of my husband's pizza with just cheese and forgot that I can't eat any pizza ordered in anymore! There doesnt' seem to be many Canadian resturants that fit this lifestyle.

I'm from Grimsby. I'm very new (2weeks). Such a bad time to start. Major kitchen reno's taking place Not sure what I was thinking.
Today I spent the entire day at the Hosp with my boyfriend who was having surgery. I tried to bring snacks however we ended up delayed by 6 hours leaving me starving when I got home and made the terrible choice to eat a bunch of kettle chips. Sooooooo bad.
There are many restaurants near where I am and Toronto/Mississauga but you're right Peterborough isn't the best for food.

Hello Canadians! I'm from Aurora, Ontario. About 45 min outside of Toronto. Very limited vegan dining without venturing into the city, which I rarely do with two smallish kids. But there's a great organic market one town over, so I can cook pretty much anything I find a recipe for.

Andrea, I'm jealous. I've read Vancouver has good vegan offerings. This winter, I ordered some boots from vshoen which I believe is on the island. Very cool vegan shoes.

Take care Canucks! Kim.

Yikes, I just checked out the site, vshoen and wow they are expensive. Anyone have any other sites to share for where to buy things Vegan friendly. Shoes in this town are all made of leather
