Increased appetite.... just puberty?

I went strictly vegan the whole month of september last year. I liked doing it. I'm not super strict about being vegan- I've eaten fish a few times and I eat things with some dairy in them (like cookies and cake AND CHOCOLATE!!... no ice cream or cheese though). I've been losing some weight for these past couple of months though, but not too much. However, for the past couple of weeks, I've had this increased appetite, mostly due to stress eating, but I don't really have that much stress in my life right now (I have finals but I'm not studying hard for them or anything like that) but I can't seem to stop myself from overeating, mostly on chocolate anything (godiva, vegan brownies, etc etc). I'm 17 and I'm still growing and blah blah blah, but is this just hormonal? I eat pretty healhty already but I still have this terrible fear of gaining weight. Any ideas?

i take the stairs almost always and i live in the city, so i walk and take public transportation all the time. i do yoga and i run when i can. but my problem is portion sizes. i like to eat all my calories at once for some reason and it's hard for me to wait to eat something. like if i have 2 granola bars, and one is supposed to be eaten at a later time, i'll eat both of them early.
