Auburn Hair Color

Hey guys!
Please help! My wife decided to do a complete makeover. The thing is she's been blonde for more than 20 years now. Out of the blue and all of a sudden she decided to change it to auburn hair color. Not that I'm suspicious or anything like that. It's just - she is browsing millions of websites, checking the one I linked above numerous times, asking her friends "Is this color OK, is that color OK"...
Now I know she won't listen to me anyway, but are those products mentioned there any good? Trustworthy?
After all, complete makeover might change some things, if it turns out to be good. Spice it, if you know what I mean :)
Please gimme some answers here.
Cheers!
Good for her! I was born auburn and sometimes think about going back to it. It's just what we women do. It's how we express our style along with clothes, shoes etc. Some changes are good. We women are complicated creatures to you mere mortal men. Not to worry it is just hair. Red is hot right now. She should get it professionally done though as red can be tricky. Be glad she is doing her homework and it does say something about her - that she is bold enough and confident enough to go for it.
She will probably need a new outfit too (yes shoes and accessories too). Take her out to dinner and have a glass of wine or two. I promise it will be worth it when she sees your support.
Hey Soph, thanks for the answer!
I suppose it should be red wine, too :)
We'll see what happens...
I'm a blonde who went auburn over a year ago. I tried a few "regular" dyes but was pleasantly surprised to discover that a henna dye was much more affordable and had a better, longer-lasting color. Also, it's a temporary dye, so your wife can always go back to blonde easily if she changes her mind.
Red works especially well if she has fair skin and light eyes. The actual tone of the color is important as well. Light Mountain hair color is my favorite because it just goes over your natural color, so your natural highlights show through.
I have to admit, I've really loved "going red" and have no plans to go back. I feel even better knowing that my hair dye is safe and cruelty-free! If you want more information, I wrote a full review here:

Best of luck with your wife's makeover! It sounds like a great project.
