COUNTRY VEGAN UK HELP!

I am trying my hardest to go from vegetarian to vegan but i am finding it so hard to find any ingredients for half of these recipes! I can't find Miso anywhere or lotus root ( for some examples!) Any idea if you can order these things online? Anyone of from a small town in the UK that might have some tips? Thankyou! :)

Goodness Direct - www.goodnessdirect.co.uk - have a pretty good selection of stuff. :-)

Miso is pretty easy to find - I saw some in Sainsburys earlier today - but I've given up on finding lotus root.


Between normal shops, health shops and Goodness Direct, I'm doing OK. (Hope this helps. :-) )

The only place that I have seen lotus root is in china town in London - this is awesome when I'm home and I can walk there in ten minutes but not so great when I'm at University in St Andrews. Goodness direct and EcoGreen are great. If you can possibly come to London then bulk buy some things maybe?
