Hello! I am flirting with the Kind Diet but the book is very inspiring and I'm looking forward to starting a new plant-blased lifestyle... even my husband is on board! As of yesterday I'm on chapter 11 and am loving the book. Thank you Alicia for writing so many words of wisdom!

How is everyone doing with their transition to a plant-based lifestyle? What suggestions do you have to someone that is transitioning into this lifestyle? Also, has anyone cooked/baked any recipes in the Kind Diet book and how did they turn out?

Thank you in advance.

Hello Amber.

I am too new. I have picked up the book, read a few pages, put it down, work 60 hours a week, pick it back up........etc.... I hope to finally get a good routine going.

One question I have for all of you out there, and Alicia, if you read this. How come doctors in articles, such as Dr. Oz, say that if you have a big butt, eat like a framer, if you have more fat around the belly, eat more meats?
I don't under stand all of this. My mother calls me up and tells me that I need to eat more meats. I don't even like the feel of meat in my mouth. How do all these doctors out there, who have these degrees and are suppose to know more about your health than you do, or at least this is what the D.M. stands for, so they think, but yet, high cholesterol, diabetics, etc... are on the rise.....Can anyone really explain all of this????????????

A few years back when I was diagnosed with high cholesterol, my doctor put me on meds that cramped me up so bad, I could hardly walk, I put myself on a strict Vegan diet, and within two months, my cholesterol dropped, 60 points.

Go Figure!!!!
