Best superhero foods for energy?

Hi all,
I deal with depression and a big part of that can be a feeling of lethargy, or extreme tiredness. I was wondering if any of you super heroes had noticed that particular foods increase your feelings of energy and well-being? I'd love to load up my diet with them and see how they help :)
Thanks!!
Good question. I have low blood sugar so any low glycemic snacks between meals are important. Any suggestions would be great
Thanks
Hi CrunchyJess and pyro :)
I would suggest the basics here....millet is a great grain if you are sick of brown rice...cook with squash for a sweet, energising meal. Also, adzuki beans with brown rice is great for energy. And don't forget the sea veggies and leafy veggies that will help with energy, iron etc.
Maybe try some lentil dishes too.
I hope this helps :) :)
Foods that give me energy are leafy greens, beans w/more iron (black, chickpeas, lentils), and kinpira with burdock root and carrots. Burdock root in general is very energizing for me (it's a very powerful root!). Sweet vegetable jam is also good for restoring energy and preventing/decreasing hypoglycemia. For snacks, a few pieces of sushi (rice and some veggies wrapped up in nori, or rice w/some sauerkraut and a little tahini wrapped in nori), poached apple or pear w/lemon zest are great snacks. Or veggies with hummus. Also a slice of steamed bread w/either some sweet veggie jam or almond/sunbutter are great. At least, this is my experience with hypoglycemia and fatigue.
