So...HELLO! Hello Friend's
welcome everyone in this forum...
how are you Friend's?...
Hi Everyone!
I'm new to this as well. I have a few really good friends and family members who have gone vegan very subtly and smart. I'm taking my time but at times even my flirting as begun to waver ;) There are a lot of things I've tried to maintain pretty thoroughly, though. For the most part even before I started becoming passionate about veganism I maintained a veggie-based (budget-based!) diet with very few processed foods. The dairy was a LOT easier to cut than I thought. And tofu is a lot easier to handle! lol. I've mainly just been education myself to the Nth, and figuring it all out slowly: leafy greens (less nightshades!) twice daily, discovering new whole grains and oils, a piece of fruit for breakfast or flax enhanced oats and trying to replace tofu for meats such as sausage in andouille or turkey in chili. I still crave fish much more often than I thought, but haven't missed the poultry or red meat yet. All in all, I don't think I've stuck to it at all well-enough to really see the health benefits yet, though on days when I do I feel INFINITELY better (I, too, deal with IBS and some other auto-immune complications, Bee).
Hope you guys enjoy and stick with it! Also, I'm a big tea person, so I've been enhancing my new vegan experiences with herbal tisanes, and teas. I encourage you all to try it out!
Hi Everyone! I`m Nola from Berlin, Germany. I`m a vegetarien since September 2010! As time goes by I read more books about veganism and plant based recepies. "Skinny Bitch" was one of these books.
I bought many books in english and visited internet sites.
For Alicia`s book.. I `ve waited for it in german :) Because it`s better to cook with our metric units.
Since September,15th I`m on a 30-Days-Vegan-Challenge with the german vegan cook, Attila Hildmann.
His book "Vegan for Fit" has great recepies...YUMMMY
I`m happy, that I signed up here, and hope we`ll have a great time with our new "form of Life"!!!
New to the forums here too, hope I can help someone out. I`ve been a strict vegan for 17 years now. Love it. Hope we could all be that way :)
