Why are vegan shoes so expensive?

Vegan shoes don't have to be expensive. Go to www.kindwalking.com and you'll find Mel for women and Macbeth for men, all vegan, cruelty free, and all under $50! There are also plenty of vegan Danskos for women, starting at $70 which is not a bad price for comfortable shoes that will last about 5 years.
