I would like some deoderant that is vegan and aluminum free that actually works. Every kind I have ever tried does not work and I am reapplying it all day.
I use Naturally Fresh Deodorant. They make a "crystal" version that looks like a bar of soap and they have a roll-on version. I use the roll-on, primarily because it's made in the US, whereas the crystal version isn't. I will say that making the switch to an aluminum free deodorant takes a couple of weeks to get used to. You will smell different and you will be paranoid about it not working, but just ride it out because once you've gotten used to how it feels you'll be fine. When I first made the switch, I kept a second roll-on in my desk and I re-applied at lunch because I always felt like it was wearing off - but after I got used to it I never felt that way anymore and never re-apply.
I think the reason why we feel like we have to reapply all the time when we make the switch is because the aluminum in most deodorants clog up our pores and keep us from sweating, whereas the natural deodorants without aluminum allow us to sweat (our bodies our built to do it, so why get in the way of that) but neutralize the odor. I think that difference is what makes us so uncomfortable for a while. Anyway, like I said, in a few weeks it will be just as normal as it ever was.
Naturally Fresh's deodorant crystals (the roll-on) is the best one. You can buy it at Whole Foods. But La Vanilla makes a great deodorant/anti-perspirant stick too. You can buy it at Sephora. http://veganamericanprincess.com
