Hi again everyone!
Firstly, let me say that YOU have all been so kind and helpful in getting my mom to switch to a vegan diet for her dog and my beloved Doberman friend, Al. He is a very lovable, 5-year-old, 120-pound beast who used to eat chickens and now....thanks to YOU GUYS...eats a steady, balanced vegan diet. YEAH!!!
My mom feeds him V-Dog food (they deliver to her house!) He eats that and lots of bananas, squash, leftovers from their vegan dinner table and my mother's homemade bread.
(In answer to one person's questions: he does not get additional supplements.)
He has lots of new energy and seems really, really happy. He LOVES his food!
**She was so skeptical but the people on this blog made it seem FUN and EASY for her and so she did it.

Thank you all so much!!!!

:), ohh Im so glad, so your mom is vegan? that is great!!!! I have been veg for yrs and vegan for less then 6, but my dog has been vegan most of her 6 yrs of age.. and as a cocker spaniel, she has suffered badly with inner ear infections, and skin infections, right now I need to come up w/ the funds for her teca surgery(total ear canal ablation), not much of a choice, as she has lived in meds, antibiotics, and steroids, which are not good, and the ear has, well it has to have surgery... I used to feed v-dog, but it did not work to good with her, the ingredients were .. well maybe to much grain? that was a few yrs back, then I did homemade vegan which was good.. but I stopped as other issues came up:(, then to nat. bal vegan, not good for her, then vet suggested duck limited ingredient, made me sick, but for her sake I did it.. she broke out all over... back to homemade now.. but I do know I was told that no matter what vegan commercial food you give, you must supplement with other things, and I keep hearing about vegedog, so next will try that...

We recently switched our yorkie to a vegan diet due to severe food allergies. We use Halo vegan garden medley (wet and dry). He loves it and is doing great. He has gained back the weight he lost when he was so sick. Highly recommend this brand.

I also have been feeding my dogs www.v-dog.com and they both choose it over any other food. I have a 6 month old golden doodle and a 6 yr old chi wa wa/dashund cross.

I'm writing an e-book about vegan dogs and pets and these links will help tremendously! Thank you friends! :)
