Am I the only Delaware Vegan?

I'm 29, going on 30 next month. I've been vegetarian since highschool. I'm now trying to be vegan. I'm not the type of person to push veganism in anybody's face and I'm even shy to share knowledge unless I find out something about veganism or the animal industries that I find to be interesting. I just feel like I'm losing friends.
It'd be great if there's anybody in the area that would want to meet up. I live in Northern Delaware.

I know exactly what you mean! I'm 29 and have been vegetarian since my freshman year of college, and am now working my way towards vegan. It never seemed to bother many people that I was vegetarian, but using the word "vegan" seems to make a lot of friends and acquaintances very defensive. Even my husband gets a little defensive! Like you, I don't want to force anything on anyone, and I've found that my best strategy is simply to make people delicious food and try to lead by being a happy example. Too bad I don't live anywhere nearby- I'm in Tucson, Az which is not the easiest place to ease into veganism, being part of cowboy country!
