I am looking to start prenatals by the end of the month and my doctor recommended VitaMed which has a vegan one .... but i'm worried she's only pushing it b/c she has a relationship with the pharma rep. What are you using? Thank you!

I am 20 weeks preganant and have been taking Rainbow Light Prenatal One and Spectrum Prenatal DHA with no Fish Oil.
I buy them from Amazon but have seen them at Whole Foods and Target.

Dr. Fuhrman has a vegan vitamin called Gentle Care. He also had a Prenatal one, but it does contain vitamin D3 and is therefore not vegan. He also has his own DHA/EPA drops. I prefer his vitamins because they are safe and do not contain folic acid! Folic acid (the synthetic form of folate) is nearly in all prenatal vitamins and is linked to breast cancer in women and breathing problems in babies.

I'm 7 weeks Pregnant and I'm taking Rainbow Light that I purchased at target. My OB/GYN looked at the amount of Folic acid that it contains and she LOVED it. I was happy that she approves because they are 100% Vegan.
