I don't really eat white sugar or honey so I have been using Agave Nectar in my oatmeal, tea etc. as an alternative sweetner.
Now I'm reading that it's very processed and not as healthy I first thought. Can anyone provide any feedback here on that?

I also use brown rice syrup which I really like and hear Stevia is pretty good.

Here is the link about Agava.

Thanks all.

I'm still eating Agave but think I use less of it. Anyone?

I've heard a lot of people saying that Agave isn't that great for you because it's processed quite a bit... I know in Alicia's book she suggests using blackstrap molasses and stuff like that for a sweetener, which I've also heard other health-conscious vegans use, as well. :) I usually use Agave, though, since that's just what I have at home haha.

agave is very concentrated and definitely not good for you. anything this concentrated and processed can't be good for you because nature would never produce it by itself.
i stopped using it and buying products containing it a long time ago. it's very easy to substitute agave with healthier alternatives, like date paste, xylitol, stevia (the best option out there!), a piece of fruit.

Stevia is also pretty processed, isn't it?
