The RSS feed for your new website is no longer available at: http://www.thekindlife.com/show.rss and I am unable to locate another. The old site offered an RSS feed as do 99.9% of blogs, allowing for people to get notified of posts in their preferred reader. So everyone who was subscribed no longer gets blog updates. RSS feeds don't take away pages views, you can post excerpts in an RSS feed (as you were doing previously) with a link to read the blog post in full on your website.
RSS feeds are a very popular tool allowing people to follow blogs on their various devices and website like mine (VeganFeed.com) which aggregates vegan media as it is published and brings exposure and new followers to your blog. I highly suggest adding the feed again and if it needs to be at a new URL, setup a permanent redirect for the old feed URL to the new one so readers will discover the new. Thanks!
