I highly suggest new, aspiring, and long time vegans check out some of the amazing vegan podcasts available. It's great to plug into a show for an hour and hang out with people who see the world through the same lens you do. You'll be entertained while absorbing a wealth of knowledge that will leave you informed and able to easily respond to the challenges of being vegan in a non-vegan world. My favorite podcast of all time is "Vegetarian Food For Thought" by Colleen Patrick-Goudreau. Despite the name, it's 100% vegan. Scroll through all 134+ episodes and check out the various topics that are covered extensively in each podcast: ( http://veganfeed.com/vegetarianfoodforthought ) She leaves no stone unturned and her approach to veganism is nothing short of amazing. That Vegan Feed website is a not-for-profit vegan advocacy project that aggregates all the vegan podcasts and video shows. You may find it a great resource for finding and downloading vegan podcasts. I suggest getting a little mp3 player and start listening to them while you workout, do housework, walk your dog, drive to work, on road trips, etc etc. Also share podcasts with friends and family! Mom's asking what's wrong with wool or how to bake without eggs and dairy? Colleen has episodes for that, put it on your mom's mp3 player or plug it in while you're with her on a road trip. Got a friend who won't shut up about the the latest Paleo diet fad? Colleen's on top of it! Share with them her very informed and well cited perspective by sending them a link to the podcast episode.
