A Thankful Journey

Hey everyone!

I became a vegan for 3 months after having my 2nd child, but that was over 2 years ago! I've been feeling pretty cruddy again, and would love to take better care of myself mentally and physically. Anyone up for a Thankful Journey/November weight-loss challenge? I compulsively weigh myself every day (sadly), but I am going to focus on how I feel daily and only check my measurements once a month. I'm not aiming for a particular weight-loss number- I just want to be a happy, healthy mother of 2! I am also a high school teacher (drama, dance, and English), so the pressure of trying to get my students to perform perfectly is pretty stressful.

I'll try and post daily in this topic, so please feel free to add to my "discussion" :)

Happy weekend!

I am really considering going vegan by thanksgiving . My dream will be to have a friendly and healthy dinner. If anyone have any helpful tips ,suggestions. Even info I will greatly appreciate it. Hello everyone! Happy November! I hope everyone on the East coast made it safely through the storm.

Today is my official day 1 as a recommitted flirt. Ironically, today in class I taught "A Modest Proposal" which made my stomach queasy (written as a satire in the 1700's by Jonathan Swift. His suggestion to help the hungry? Eat babies!).

Today's meal plan will most likely include:

Breakfast- 2 Apple
Lunch- huge salad, dressing on the side
Dinner- spaghetti, tomato sauce, random veggies (a lot of them!)

I'm starting to eliminate meat from my diet, and then in December will look into eliminating dairy products.

Happy first of the month!
