I bought Alicia's book on my kindle last night after searching around for some vegan cookbooks and finished it today. Wow what a book, totally inspiring. I'm a 39 yo male from Melbourne Australia, never really treated my body right, too much drinking, too much smoking cigarettes, almost nil exercise activity and too much nasty food! Typical lazy bugger :)
I've always liked vegetarian food and for the past year or so never really eat much meat, I lost 25Kg rather rapidily eating grains and vegetables whilst I was self employed but since I started working for someone else again, on came the daily cafe lattes, junk food lunches and the weight is coming back on. So here I am before I let it get out of hand again.
I however like to cook and so will probably start with the flirting plan. Some of the recipes look fantastic and look forward to starting some of them. I'm actually a big fan of tofu and made a syrup and ginger and chilli marinade to soak it in, flash fried it and served with brown rice and steamed bok choy. It was lovely.
