Hey everyone, I went superhero 40 days ago, I felt totally great, and after a few days, I didn't even crave sugar (have been vegan for over 2 years and been eating quite clean, but had sugary snacks in between meals) .. Now, for the past 6-8 days I feel dizzy, constantly kind of sick, although never had to throw up, I tend to need more sleep, wake up with horrible head aches, although they're gone, as soon as I eat/drink something. Never have been too much of a coffeedrinker, so it's not like I'm missing caffeine.. I did ovulate 11/12 days ago, so this actually could be a horrible PMS but I never had it so bad and definately not so long!!!! (usually probably 1-2 days if at all!). Additionally I have horrible moodswings.. Last night I really freaked out and have been really mean to my boyfriend and I feel sad quite a lot of the time.. I'm crying my eyes out, because of literally nothing!!! Did anyone experience anything like that and knows what's wrong with me? Especially this feeling-sick-all-the-time is freaking me out!!!! It's really SO annoying :( I do eat enough and drink enough water and tea (as always) I hope you guys have advice! Even the smallest is really appreciated!! TIA - Julia
Oh, forgot to say: my skin broke out again and my breasts feel really swollen and hurt, but those two are my only usual PMS symptoms.. Another thing, which's new is, that I feel cold and hot and cold and hot again within a few minutes, without changing anything..
Deb, that thought also crossed my mind, but I think it's quite unlikely..
Shannon, no I haven't..
I think the only thing I can do is wait a few more days and if I don't get my period take a test and take it from there.. Gosh..if I were, bf would freak out.. XD
Well, at least if you are pregnant you have prepared your body in the best way for a healthy baby!
Bf might freak at first but he'll get used to the idea--it'll grow on him as you grow and glow... :0)
Blessings to all three of you!!!
Sometimes it's not diet related, it's hormones. Ours change beginning at 30 and you can have significant changes way beyond any peri-menopausal changes. It could be a pregnancy, but it could also be your birth control or your levels of estrogen or progesterone levels. Our diet doesn't balance those things out. Check with a naturopath in your area about testing and adding some things to your diet, possibly.
