I have just gotten the book Cradle to Cradle out of the library and I am truly blown away. This book is not technically about veganism, but I have a feeling everyone connected to this site will relate and embrace it. I read about it in of all places Vogue magazine. The person referencing it talked about how it had changed her life entirely from living in a city to her new life of working in Bali on designing new sustainable housing. Then I googled the title and found a TED talk given by one of its authors, William McDonough, and I was even further affected. I believe the contents of this book is the tip of the iceberg and really sheds light on how we should all be proceeding to live on this planet. I am so grateful to have found it and hope you feel the same way and will pass it on to everyone you know. Because it will take all of us to make the changes necessary to really alter our world for the better.
Barbara, i read cradle to cradle last fall and hope Alicia features it in her book club some day. A prof i had in college in 2011 told me about the book and how i might enjoy it since i have always tried to live a "green" life. It truely makes you think of every little purchase you make and how the materials you use may be used in the future or returned to the earth to replenish life.
