Don't go crazy with the exfoliators! Less is more!

If you cannot eat the product ingredients, don't use it on your biggest organ either.

Eat a clean diet, drink water when thirsty, get quality sleep, and try to keep stress to a minimum. That's about all I do to keep my skin healthy - I will occassionally wear makeup and when I do it is kind makeup. Oh, and don't touch your face with your hands or things like phones - the grease and grit can transfer and give your skin a dull look...

think about who is touching/licking your face! Only use organic products that would be ok if ingested in small amounts. I have two cats who love to lick my face and therefore my moisturizer needs to be OK for them to lick a tiny bit.

Gently cleanse with a warm wet washcloth after waking to revitalize skin after restorative sleep. It is a kind approach to remove any sweat or debris without stripping skin of essential moisture and leaves a rosy glow.

Wash your pillowcase more often than your bedsheets. Oil and dirt can build up quickly from your hair and skin and cause breakouts!

I have been struggling with adult breakouts for years and have tried everything on the planet to clear it up with no avail. Over the years I have discovered that harsh cleansers, scrubs and radical treatments can make the situation a lot worse. Treat your skin with kindness and respect and go easy. I use organic peels, clarifying dead sea mud masks and an organic blemish treatment stick on a regular basis to keep the breakouts at bay. Finding the right cleanser is definitely key. One that is gentle on your skin but yet powerful at removing traces of make-up and dirt that builds up during the day, I am anxious to try Alicia's skincare line!

I use a great FREE iPhone app called "Animal-Free", which allows you to scan bar codes to ensure there are no animal products in your purchase. I also use Peta's FREE "Cruelty-Free" iPhone app to ensure I'm buying products from companies who do not test on animals.
