So its been about 3 weeks. I am really happy with what I've been cooking and eating , and lately decided to add more raw fresh vegetables to meals. So the other day , I thought " Why not treat myself? I haven't had one of my favorite famous peanut butter cookies from the "Alternative Baking Company" in a while. Years probably, I was busy eating regular cookies pre-vegan years. Anyway, I go down to the grocery store, have the man find what might have been the last peanut butter flavored one, I shout Yay because I'm excited, he's happy for me, I get out of the store, take a bite and..... I want an apple?? ........ I wanted an apple????? ....... What the heck was going on with my tastebuds. I couldn't believe it. The cookie was good.. but it was just that I would rather have had some fruit. Has this ever happened to you after becoming vegan? I was a bit astounded . I went home and had some raisins.

How awsome for u!!! I used to love eating out, like anything at a resaurant was way better than anything that could be made at home. But after a while being vegan i noticed that i wasn't enjoying junk at restaurants anymore, i would rather be at home eating brown rice black beans and stir fry vegies. Or setan or machi. Or carob chips instead of chocolate deserts that make u feel crappy later.

I am waiting on this happening. I still want a bag of patoto chips every day. I stopped eating "anythign with added sugar" a long time ago and now I have milk chocolate or jelly beans and they do not taste as good anymore. A good veggie fruit try for a party makes me happy. Of course at Christmastime I still want my apple crisp but I usually regret it.

I've gotten the same way with sweets! :) But like asabean, I still want chips. :(
