Natural alternatives for flea prevention?

I used revolution flea meds for my 2 kitties but was wondering if anyone knows of a natural alternative? I definitely want to keep them free from mites, ticks, fleas, etc but I'm also trying to one by one remove the toxic chemicals that I use regularly in our household.
