Dairy free milk for kids

Hi all.
I am wondering what would be the best dairy free milk for my kids. I've drunk and liked soya milk for years but am trying to reduce soya anyway. While I appreciate that the kids don't really need an alternative to milk they are just transitioning to a vegan diet so we are going through a phase of replacement before totally removing certain foods. Anyhoo......some of them like soya milk and they all like rice milk. The soya milk has less sugar and more protein and they both have the same amount of calcium. The rice milk has 4g sugar per 100mls which seems high. Can anyone help me decide which is the healthiest of the options that I have?
Also one of the kids has just turned 1, he's been on soya milk for a few months anyway as he has a cows milk protein intolerance. Is 4g sugar too high for him to have?
Hmmmm, think I'm babbling now! Would be great to get anyones opinion.
Thanks Zoe

There are so many choices. We bought a small container of every kind (oat, rice, hemp, almond, coconut - NO soy for us unless its organic) then after a favourite was chosen we experimented with brand.

We seem to use a few. Mr like Oat with cereal and almond for coffee. I prefer coconut for everything but treat myself with vanilla for cereal. The kids like both almond and coconut.

You can get unsweetened and organic of every kind.
