Hey guys! My boyfriend's favorite dessert is chocolate pie and he hasn't eaten it in a long time since we're both vegan. I want to make it for him for Valentine's Day, but don't think I've ever had it before so I'm not sure what it's supposed to be like. I was wondering if anyone has made a chocolate cream pie (vegan or non vegan) and could help with some advice...

What is the consistency? Is it like a pudding? Or more dense like pumpkin pie?

What pie crust is most common? A traditional pie crust, graham cracker, or chocolate cookie? I've seen it with all three.
