Being Violated

I am reaching out to my fellow vegan friends!
Tonight I went to dinner with several friends to an Italian restaurant near my home. It is a regular restaraunt that serves meat dishes but I have been ther many times and have been able to order a vegan friendly meal with no problem.
Well tonght I ordered a pasta with mainara and as I was eating I discovered that It was NOT marinars but a MEAT sauce.
I was very polite and imeadiately brought to my servers attention.
Well the response was basically oh we are sorry can we get you something else!
Ok well no..... and not to mention my friend also ordered the marinara sauce and she also received the meat sauce!
Quite honestly I feel voilated! Like being date raped ( sorry I don't mean to offend anyone but I have been in that situation and I fett just as helpless in this situation.
I asked to speak o the cook responsable as I just wanted them to know that it's a big deal to me! I was polite and quiet , but felt mortified and only wanted an apology. The response I got from the manager was "it's a Saturday night and we are to busy for me to pull him out.
So I waited..... until it wasn't busy. I asked if if could speak to him as I just felt that I havent eaten meat in years and it was very upsetting and I just wanted him to realize it IS A BIG DEAL to me! the manager refused to offer an apology.
I live in the midwest where I am a minority, I am not trying to change the world , or anyone else for that matter but please have a little respect for my choices in life.
So tonight I will go to bed feeling unvindecated and quite frankley morally raped.
So if you are ever in O'Fallon, Mo. do not eat at Donatelli's Bistro!
And lesson learned, I am a minority...........

:( That sucks...People who do the wrong things need to be punished; don't let them get away with this! http://www.fda.gov/AboutFDA/Transparency/Basics/ucm214867.htm and http://www.wikihow.com/Complain-in-a-Restaurant

Thanks for the advice!
I just need to vent to someone who understands!
I have been in tears ever since I got home this evening. To top it off last Monday I saw a poor cow in the chute at the local slaughter house and that sight along with the cow meal I received tonight and no one to cry on their shoulder. It's just sad.
I wish people had a little respect and compassion for life and those who choose to be compassionate.
