Odor-free lunch tips?!

Hi guys,
I'm starting my new job in a few days time and am wondering what to take for lunch during the week. It's an office environment so something neutral in smell would be great...any ideas??
This is my first full-time job and want to make a good impression...and not draw attention to myself with weird looking funky smelling food!
I am mostly superhero so usual lunch would consist of grain, soup, veggies etc...
What do you usually take to work??
Thanks!
Hi Natalie! Congrats on the new job. One thing I've found is that people in office settings like to make fun of those that eat a healthy lifestyle. (This is NOT always the case but I've seen/experienced it happen to myself and several other people I know). Be okay with that and be proud of your lifestyle. I would suggest taking some quinoa, bulgar or couscous as your grain, and lots of fresh foods, sliced fruits, veggies and perhaps a salad. If you still eat pasta, you could even take a vegan version of a dairy and meat style pasta to sort of faux blend in--but that is up to you. I only eat those foods on occasion as I'm mostly superhero with my diet too but I probably would at a new job just to avoid any suspicion or conversations I wasn't ready to have. There should be minimal if any smell at all, and the food will be fresh, living and delicious to keep you going through the work day. Have you seen some of the blogs out there dedicated to vegan lunches? If you need more lunch idea inspirations try this blog: http://veganlunchbox.blogspot.com/ She has amazing ideas for lunches! :) Good luck!
Thanks evervescene! So much helpful info here. Yes I'll take a look at that blog for inspiration. For tomorrow I'll take leftovers from tonight which was wheatberries with dried apricots, mushrooms, sage, and greens was very yummy! Hopefully I won't draw too much attention! In the past I've been lucky with colleagues respecting my diet or being vegetarians themselves so we'll see. I think you could be right the the pasta- I'll prob buy a whole wheat or spelt one next time I go shopping...and it's quick and easy to make the night before.
All the best, Natalie
