Ciao,
I am a vegetarian and I am flirting with being a vegan, but I think it will be a hard transition living in Italy. Can anyone tell me what the situation is for dairy cows is in Italy? I know that it is horrible in the US, but I really want all the facts. Less for myself and more for my Italian family and friends. It is already difficult to be a vegetarian and when I talk about being a vegan people here always say, "but it isn't like that in Italy." Any information you could give me about the use, or no use, of hormones, antibiotics, the humane practices, etc. would help me so much! Thank you!
